Testimonials and Stories:
"Thank you so much for our amazing package! We are beyond grateful and it means so much to have received so many helpful items. We are into week 3 of our nicu journey but my boys are doing so well. I live an hour away from the hospital so find the commute each day quite challenging but it's things like this that really bring a smile to your face and remind you that it's all worth it."- Recipient Nov 2019
"Kenzo was born on the 7th day of lockdown (01.04) weighing 987g at 32w. It was hard enough having my first baby early, knowing he was going to be small but not sure how small, for the first 54 day I visited Kenzo alone without his Dad, Tauranga was only allowing Mom's in. When our box arrived it was the best feeling, I felt like I wasn't alone, like someone was watching out for us. It gave me time to stop worrying about everything we didn't have just yet, it gave me the opportunity to relax & just enjoy my baby.
Also the father's day boxes, Dad she'd a wee tear opening his last week. For the first time since Kenzo was born Dad finally was acknowledged by someone outside our family. He was pushed to the side when Kenzo came during lockdown, Dads weren't as important as Moms From my family to yours, thank you so much"- Recipient 2020 👨👩👦🥰 "A shout out to Chercara
This amazing woman has taken her time to put this pack together for my mini family and it is huge. Here's the real kicker - she is staying in starship HERSELF with her own family. I cannot comprehend how someone can be so gracious and mindful of other people when they are going through their own tough ordeals. My partner and I thankyou from the bottom of our hearts. I apologise if I have overstepped the line by announcing your own personal circumstances but this needed to be acknowledged big time."-Recipient 2016 "We so appreciate the care package we received when my twins were in nicu. It definitely brought a smile during a tough time. I love being able to talk about your organisation and the amazing work you do in hopes that people can help and donate."- Recipient 2020

"Hi. Four days before Christmas 2018 our son was born 5 weeks early and sadly he was very sick after what was a normal labour to the last 10 minutes going very wrong. We were told to expect the worse and he was in intensive care in Christchurch Womens NICU. Christmas day rolled around and we were so grateful just to have him that Christmas had gone out the window for us as we just wanted him to get better. We arrived to see him early that morning and found an incredibly special box just for him filled with precious gifts. Our wee man turned 1 last year and blows us away on a daily basis and we cannot thank you enough for what you gave him and us that day and the tears and smiles the flowed that morning. You do an amazing and very special "job" so thank you. All the best"
"Hi Chercara. When we first arrived at NICU, we were understandably overwhelmed.
A package arrived from you guys. We opened it, I think we both shed a couple of tears (I know I did), just trying to comprehend how strangers could care so much about our plight. It really is hard to describe how much bigger it makes our journey, in a good way, it let's you know others have empathy, and are somehow there . Anyhow, the package contained quite a few oh so necessities, as well as a few things we had no idea we needed. I can't lie, there were a few things we though we might like to give back to be regifted , but I hope that doesn't undermine our gratitude. That was 8 weeks ago now. We are still reading Eliza the stories, most the moisturisers have been put to good use, choccys eaten, mags read and left in NICU. Its been a blur, but I'm sure the rest has been used in one way or another. As a matter of fact, Eliza was moved to a crib the other day, we had 1 onsey small enough, another mum gave us a couple of things. We were about to head to k mart, when we found the clothes we had gotten from you guys. It had been so long we had forgotten. So, I hope you have an awesome Christmas. Our package we received over 8 weeks ago now keeps giving. Thank you so much."- Recipient 2019 "Scarlett was born 31st March, day 5 of level 4. She came 16 days early as she had iugr. We weren't expecting her to be so small, just 4lb4 (2kg). We didn't have anything that fit her and had to order or clothes online as all shops were shut. It was great to come home one day from NICU and find a box full of lovely goodies. She is now 5 months old and doing well, full of smiles and giggles."-Recipient 2020
"Our boys were born 32 weeks and 4lb just before level 4. They had very few clothes that would fit and it was so nice to have the nicu receptionist come and tell me there was a package for me at reception, to open it and find it packed with tiny clothes to fit my tiny babes. They’re nearly 6 months now and you almost can’t tell they were prem. So appreciated."-Recipient 2020
